Introduction to Computer Maintenance and Repair

Course Instructor: Boris Puero Candela

Graduate of the Universidad Politécnica de Litoral in Electrical Engineering. He is a specialist in computer hardware and information technology. Prof. Puero is also a current borrower from Kiva and Mifex. Despite his education in one of the best technical schools in the country, he had not been able to attain capital in order to leverage his small computer repair shop. Working with Mifex has helped him fulfill his dreams of growing a successful business and teaching the community around him the values of technology.

Course Description:

Introduction to basic concepts and issues dealing with hardware and software. We also cover basic troubleshooting and how to resolve common problems encountered with computers and software applications.

Culinary Arts: Baking and Chocolates

Course Instructor: Paola Robledo

Culinary Specialist graduated from the Universidad Politécnica de Litoral. She is currently seeking a second degree from the Agricultural University of Guayaquil as a nutritionist.

Course Description:

The course specializes in the baking of cakes and other common Ecuadorian pastries. There is also a concentration on making chocolate products, specifically bon-bons.
